A suffering A/C unit can display many different signs that it is in need of a repair. Some of the most common signs your air conditioning unit is in need of professional repair services as soon as possible include:
If your home is taking forever to cool down, the airflow from your A/C unit is not working correctly. This could be due to a multitude of reasons such as a clogged air filter, a broken motor, or potentially something worse.
Obviously your A/C Unit should be cooling down your Southwest, FL home – not warming it up! If your unit is blowing hot air, this is indicative of a possible compressor issue.
Most A/C systems have pretty consistent cycles in which they run. If you notice a drastic change in how often your A/C cycles, whether it is more or less than normal, you should call Hurricane Air Conditioning to schedule a repair.
High humidity throughout your home is usually a clear sign that your air conditioning unit is not cooling down your house properly, or at all for that matter.
If you notice foul smells permeating from your HVAC system, this is an obvious sign that something is not working correctly. If you fail to address the issue, the odors will likely worsen. Schedule a professional repair with Hurricane Air Conditioning ASAP!
If your A/C unit is leaking that means the refrigerant inside your system is leaking which can be toxic and is an inarguable sign that your air conditioning unit is suffering.
If your monthly utility bills are higher than normal, you may have an internal issue within your HVAC system. In the event of increased energy bills, your A/C unit is no longer running efficiently which means you will need to call Hurricane Air Conditioning for repair.

Hurricane Air was referred to us by a contractor with which we do business. We compared their offer to one provided by our existing HVAC company and after comparing the cost of getting the same 'options', Hurricane Air's offer was considerably less. Our current HVAC company didn't even wonder why!! Guess they have so much business in the Golf and Country Club community in which we reside, they felt they were a shoe in??? Anyway, Derryck and Kyle did the original on site preview and were very courteous, used their booties and explained the various options. Eric and his partner did the install and once again, courteous. He walked us through every step of what he was going to do and then afterwards did another review. Derryck and Kyle came back a few days later to sanitize our ducts and install a really neat Smart AC device that will give us the ability to track the system while we are back home in Pennsylvania. It is a Carrier HVAC system too! Can't say enough good things about this company and their employees

Usually, it will take one to five days for a professional to install a central air conditioning system in your home. A/C replacements and projects with extensive ductwork, repairs, and/or installations will take more time.
Typically, a new air conditioner will cost around $2750 (more or less), but it will depend on the size of your home and the type of unit you need installed. Consider installing a new air conditioner when you buy a new furnace – by adding both units to your forced air system at the same time, you can save on costs by reducing time and labor.
Yes, usually any home can have central air. You probably will have to allow for ductwork and other design allowances, but it can be done. Before making the decision to have central air installed in your home, you should schedule an in-home consultation with a certified HVAC technician to get an idea of the total cost. Other cooling options for your home aside from central air include ductless splits and geothermal systems.
